Actively focus on what you want in your life!
If you want change in your life and relationships…stop telling your tale of misery. The more you repeat it, the more it is reinforced in your brain.
Try thinking instead about what you would like your life or relationship to look like. Talk about your goals in your head and out loud. Share them with other people to hold yourself accountable.
When you actively focus on where you want to go, your life will change in ways you never imagined!
For so many years I told my negative story so many times to counselors and anyone else who would listen. It never helped one bit! I discovered that it only made things worse as it reinforced the story in my head. It didn’t release me from the story.
When we wallow in self-pity our negative beliefs become a self-fulfilling prophecy. And nobody wants to be around a miserable person.
Nowadays I understand that whatever I focus on will grow. This is true for you too in life, relationships, spirituality and career. It is even true for fitness!
If all you do is stop telling yourself your sad story, that will be enough to change your life for the better. That is the bare minimum.
Actively focus on the life you want
