Cowardly to Courageous

I invite you to join me in a project that I am calling Cowardly to Courageous! It is about facing our fears head on.

Cowardly to Courageous!

For the first challenge I jumped from a rock into the sea. My kids have been jumping off rocks into the sea for years, so it might not seem like a big deal to most people. Except for the fact that I have always been too scared to do it. It is a combination of a fear of heights, and the fact that I have heard stories of people jumping into the sea and hitting their head on a rock and dying.

The 2nd challenge was to climb a tree, as since I was very young this always frightened me. My sister would shoot straight up to the top of a tree and call me to follow her. But I was always terrified!

You can watch the videos on my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/fiona.pimentel/ and I will be doing more challenges Live on Facebook every Wednesday around Midday UTC-5/Central. You are welcome to look out for me around that time and also make suggestions with challenges for me. But I would especially invite you to take part yourself with your own challenges.

I will also be doing a retreat called Cowardly to Courageous on the 27th-29th May at the beautiful Sea Orchard Retreat. Here is my promise for the retreat: I will NOT make you do anything you don’t want to do! Instead it will be a super FUN way to become more courageous.

Why would you take part in Cowardly to Courageous?

It is only when we face our fears that we become courageous and strong! There is a book by Susan Jeffers called “Feel the Fear and do it anyway.” When I first heard of the book, the concept as described in the title blew me away. I suppose I had never been brave enough to do something that frightened me.

What about you? Do you tend to shy away from things that are outside of your comfort zone? If so, the chances are you are not growing as a person. Because it is only when we face our fears and do things that make us feel a little uncomfortable that we actually change and make progress.

The secret is to take tiny little steps. There is no need to make any grand gestures like jump from a plane while naked and singing  in an operatic voice!!

What can you do that is slightly scary for you? Can you take a small step towards it? Will you be brave enough to take on the Cowardly to Courageous challenge yourself? Who do you know who might want to take part?

If you want any help with learning how to become more courageous, I invite you to try out a  so you can experience it for yourself. It is my gift to you. You can also ask about my group coaching program that will help with this.
