You may have a strong sense of your own life purpose. But do you know your partner’s?
Did you even ask? If you don’t know the answer, then it is time to have a good talk with your partner. Because it is only when you discuss these sorts of issues that you will have a deeper spiritual connection. And I promise you certainly won’t regret it.
What if your partner says “I don’t know” to your question? Either they genuinely don’t know. Or they don’t want to think about it, or they don’t feel comfortable opening up to you. Perhaps they are like my husband used to be and all three apply.
This is where it might be helpful to have some help from a coach. It is hard to have a relationship with someone who does not know themselves well. So we work on their self knowledge. If they have trust issues, we gradually build the trust between you so that you will be able to open up to each other.
Other Questions than Life Purpose
It is not just finding out their life purpose that will bring about this close connection between you. There are all sorts of other questions you can ask to get to know your spouse on a deeper level.
