Hello, Friends! I am so excited to welcome you to my new Relationship Coaching Solutions blog. This is where you will be able to read about topics that affect your marriage. We will look at shifting bad communication habits and learning better skills. Also I will focus on helping you with your own self love, as you can only love and feel loved when you love yourself. We will also concentrate on increasing the friendship and intimacy in your marriage.
I will tell you briefly about my journey to becoming a relationship coach. In 2011, I qualified as a Life Coach but didn’t follow up on it. I was too busy with other work such as managing our vacation rental business.
Meanwhile I had been unhappy in my marriage for many years. I read all the books and went to all the courses, but nothing made much of a difference. I had so much knowledge about relationships. But ironically, the more I knew, the more I recognised that I was unhappy in mine.
It was only when my husband and I each enrolled in coaching that we were able to change our lives and improve our marriage. If you want to read more about my story you can see it on my website here.
I have felt a call to help couples in their marriages for over a decade. I put it off partly because I didn’t have the confidence to be a relationship coach. Also I felt that if my own marriage was not perfect, I would not have any credibility. Now that I have worked on my confidence and my marriage, here I am ready to serve you!
Why was Relationship Coaching Solutions originally set up for Christian Women?
My Relationship Coaching was originally designed for Christian women. This is firstly because I do not know what it feels like to be a man, and I believe that coaching for men has more impact coming from a man.
Secondly because I am a Christian and I have come across so many coaches with values and techniques that are not in alignment with the Christian faith. There is not much available for the Christian woman who might not feel comfortable using tools such crystals or fortune telling cards. So I feel I can be most effective in working with Christian women to improve their marriages.
However, ironically my first clients were Jewish and it was men who approached me first. I warmly welcome men and women from other faiths too. Many of the skills that I have learned and the resources that I use have come from Jewish psychologists.
I hope you will follow the Relationship Coaching Solutions blog.
