The More Loving We Become

The more loving we become

The more loving we become, the more we receive love. As we grow in love, we become more peaceful. We become more understanding as well. Our facial expressions and our body language softens. We give off an aura of love. And this in turn attracts love towards us.

Love and fear cannot coexist. When we are fearful we give off vibes that appear to be aggressive. This is true of animals too. Imagine a dog who is scared of someone coming to the house. It will react with obvious aggression. In humans this aggression is less overt but nonetheless detectable.

If we are raising our voice and clenching our jaw while proclaiming our love for someone, it just doesn’t work! The words and the body language are not in alignment. So it doesn’t ring true. And as humans we still have those instincts that act as a natural lie detector.

So our love needs to be genuine.

How can we become more loving?

We need to start with ourselves. It is our responsibility to love ourselves. So many people think it is their partner’s job to make us feel loved and happy. And while that is partly true, it is even more important that we provide ourselves with our emotional needs.

There are so many things we can do to love ourselves. My top 5 ways to love yourself are:

  1. Affirm yourself while looking in the mirror.
  2. Write a loving letter to yourself.
  3. Record your voice saying loving things to yourself and listen to it.
  4. Journal about your feelings.
  5. Do whatever makes you feel joyful such as dancing.

There are many more ways to love yourself. It doesn’t matter what you choose. The important thing is to start!

Then as you love yourself better, you will observe that you are more forgiving of yourself and others. Your beautiful journey towards becoming more loving will have begun!
